The sea was the backdrop for much of Jesus’s ministry. Boating and fishing were part of the culture, and along the shore, crowds gathered to listen to Jesus’s teachings. Even in my own life–in times of stillness and prayer –Jesus often appears and speaks to me while standing on the beach. What can we learn from Jesus’s time by the sea? What may Jesus be saying to you as you navigate the stormy “seas” in your own life?
Join me for a four-week summer soul-care devotional where we look at the Gospels in the Bible; where we imagine, listen, and notice through spiritual practices that invite us to draw near to Jesus by the sea.
*Please bring a Bible (your format preference) a journal, and something to write with.
